I am pleased to advise that the tentative Nanaimo Seniors Village collective agreement has been ratified. Voting took place on Thursday, March 23rd, with many members coming in on their own time to cast ballots. Many thanks to those who were able to participate in this important vote.
In the coming weeks, work will be done to proof, sign, and distribute the new agreement. Although this can take some time, pleased be assured that the terms and conditions of the new collective agreement are now in full force and effect.
Finally I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Karen Dalton and Randi Halliday for all of their hard work serving as bargaining committee members. They both deserve a round of applause for a job well done!
