BCGEU 50th Triennial Constitutional Convention – June 14 to 17, 2017

The BCGEU 50th Triennial Constitutional Convention will be taking place from Wednesday, June 14 to Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver. Convention is the time when you, the members, decide who the next BCGEU President, Treasurer, and the Executive Vice-Presidents will be and what the mandate of YOUR Union will be over the next three years.

Call for Resolutions
Resolutions are put forward by members for members. In order for your Union leadership to carry out the work on behalf of the membership. It is your right and privilege to put forward your ideas in the form of resolutions. The resolution form is attached for you to complete, submit for discussion, and vote on at the meeting referenced above. Your resolution form must be received by Monday, February 27, 2017.

Call for Nominations for Convention Delegates and Alternates
If you would like attend the 2017 Convention, you must be nominated and elected to attend. Interested members should complete the attached nomination form.

How to Submit Your Forms
Submit your completed forms to the Lower Mainland Area Office by 5:00 pm on Monday, February 27, 2017 via fax at 604-215-1410, via mail to 130 – 2920 Virtual Way, Vancouver, BC V5M 0C4, or in person by 6:30 pm at the meeting referenced above.

 
AGENDA

1.    Discuss and vote on resolutions to be referred to Component 17 for approval.
2.    Election of delegates and alternates to attend the 2017 Convention. Please note, in order to be elected to attend Convention, the member must in good standing and be able to attend the entire convention from June 14 to 17, 2017 inclusive.
