Please join us on November 20th at 6:30 pm for a conference call to remember the many transgender people who have died because of transphobia. Transphobia is a hatred of people whose apparent gender and identification /expression is deemed to be unacceptable by the people who kill them.
Transgender Day of Remembrance occurs every November 20th. This day is an opportunity to be with other people to reflect on the loss of life and the meaning that has for those in attendance regardless of their gender identification and expression.
This is a phone call hosted by the BCGEU Equity & Human Rights Committee to join individuals from various locations in BC for a virtual gathering to recognize Trans Day of Remembrance.
