This three (3) day “Steward Training” course (9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day) will be held at the Diane L. Wood Union Centre, Prince George Area Office of the BCGEU, 1070 - 4th Avenue, Prince George. Provided to all new BCGEU stewards, this training clarifies the steward’s role, rights and responsibilities. The course, adapted to meet the needs in each area, often includes an introduction to Canadian labour history, Step 2 grievance handling, communications training, and information on the structure of the BCGEU. Stewards’ Training helps new stewards develop the skills and confidence they need to be workplace leaders.
