The Freshwater Fisheries Society of B.C. has created an exciting initiative to introduce angling to new users in an educational, fun and dynamic way. We are really excited to be part of a program that is tied into the BC School Curriculum through Science, Social Studies, English, P.E. and Personal Planning.
The cost of this event is $5.00 per child. Children must be 5 or older to participate, no exceptions.
The program (age specific) covers the following topics:
The hatchery supplies the rods, bait, lures, nets and all other necessary equipment. We ask for parent/adult participation and assistance throughout the lesson.
Hot dogs, drinks (including water) and chips will be provided. Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather!
There is a limit of 30 children per day, ages 5 and older, for this event (not including parents/adults).
Please complete the attached registration form (copy more forms as needed – thanks!) and mail with your payment as soon as possible to the Fraser Valley Area Office, 8555 – 198A Street, Langley, BC V2Y 0A9 so it reaches us no later than 5:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2014. Late registrations will not be accepted.
