BCGEU members in the Retail Stores and Warehouse Component operate the provincial government's retail liquor stores and related warehouse operations. Specific classifications include: assistant manager, assistant shipper, concession clerk, foreman, manager, shipper, store clerk and warehouse worker.

About 1,500 residents of Penticton, including Mayor David Perry and Councillor Dan Ashton, have signed a petition calling on the Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) to scrap plans to close the Martin Street liquor store.
