Component 10 - Operational Services

Most members of Component 10 work for private corporations, contracted by the government to maintain provincial highways and bridges. The component includes members engaged in highway maintenance, small private ferries, some municipal governments and other private companies connected with technical services.

Following two long days at the bargaining table, on November 4th and 5th, the parties failed to reach an agreement late last Thursday evening.

The bargaining committee met with the Employer for 5 days of bargaining in the last 2 weeks and, while we have tentatively resolved a number of non-monetary issues, it is clear that the Parties are far apart on monetary issues and the term of the Collective Agreement.
