Component 10 - Operational Services

Most members of Component 10 work for private corporations, contracted by the government to maintain provincial highways and bridges. The component includes members engaged in highway maintenance, small private ferries, some municipal governments and other private companies connected with technical services.

Bargaining Updates

We met with the Employer last week, March 17th – 21st.

Bargaining continued throughout last week and resulted in some progress. The tone of discussion was cordial with both parties looking for negotiated solutions to proposals.

Feb 7, 2014

Following extensive review of your questionnaires and direct feedback to bargaining committee members, we began bargaining with your employer this week. The talks are still in the early stages and we are awaiting a response from the employer.

Additional dates have been scheduled over the coming months. The next bargaining session will be February 24 – 28 in Richmond.
