Notice to Bargain
The BCGEU recently gave formal notice to the Employer to commence the bargaining process because the current collective agreement term ends on May 31st, 2014. The current collective agreement remains in full force and effect until a new agreement is negotiated and brought to all of you to vote on and ratify.
Elect Your Bargaining Committee
There are three (3) positions available for the BCGEU Bargaining Committee.
Nominate who you think would be your best representatives for bargaining. Please find the Bargaining Committee Nomination form attached to this bulletin. If you are interested in being on the Bargaining Committee, just have a co-worker (BCGEU member) sign it to nominate you and then you must also sign it to accept their nomination, and ensure the form is fully completed and submitted by the deadline noted below. If there are more nominees than positions, then an election will be held.
Fill Out Your Bargaining Survey - We Want to Hear From You!
This is your opportunity to have a say in the terms and conditions in your collective agreement. It is really important that every BCGEU member fill out the attached bargaining survey because it is from your collective response to this survey that the bargaining committee develops its mandate (i.e. bargaining priorities). So please ensure you fill it out and send it back so your bargaining committee will know what is most important to you.
You will find the bargaining survey attached to this bulletin and please ensure you submit it before the deadline.
Deadline for Bargaining Committee Nomination Forms is: March 28, 2014 by 5:00 pm
Deadline for Bargaining Surveys is: April 11, 2014 by 5:00 pm
